Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DebtVault (“we”, “us”, “the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Your Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You agree not to use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent activity.
4. Financial Disclaimer
DebtVault is a financial automation tool, not a bank, lender, or financial advisor. We do not hold funds. All financial actions are processed through regulated third-party services such as Stripe and Plaid.
- We do not provide investment, credit, tax, or legal advice.
- Any financial decisions you make are your responsibility.
- DebtVault cannot guarantee reduced interest, faster payoff, or creditor acceptance.
5. Financial Activity & Transfers
By using the Service, you authorize daily micro-deposits, withdrawals, and payouts configured by you.
- Transfers may be delayed due to bank or ACH network processing times.
- You must maintain sufficient funds in your linked bank account.
- You are responsible for verifying creditor details when using payout features.
- We are not responsible for failed, delayed, or incorrectly routed transfers.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
Some features require a Pro subscription. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to process recurring monthly payments.
- You may cancel anytime via the Settings page.
- No refunds for partial billing periods.
7. Pro Features
Pro users may receive access to enhanced features such as:
- Unlimited vaults
- Daily automation
- Creditor payout tools
- AI Vault Coach
- Advanced analytics
8. Third-Party Services
You authorize us to share necessary information with trusted partners:
- Plaid for secure bank verification
- Stripe for deposits, payouts, subscriptions
- Supabase for authentication and secure data storage
Each provider maintains its own terms and privacy policy.
9. Electronic Communications (E-SIGN Consent)
By creating an account, you affirmatively consent to receive all notices, disclosures, and statements (“Communications”) electronically. You acknowledge that you have the necessary hardware (computer or smartphone) and software (web browser/PDF viewer) to access and retain these Communications. You have the right to request paper copies for a fee by contacting support@debtvault.co. Withdrawing this consent may result in the termination of your account.
10. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We are not liable for outages or disruptions caused by banking partners, payment processors, or internet providers.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal behavior.
12. Limitation of Liability
DebtVault is provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for:
- Transfer delays, failed withdrawals, or failed deposits
- Errors in creditor information you provide
- Interest changes or creditor policy changes
- Financial losses resulting from your use of the Service
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to DebtVault during the prior 12 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DebtVault from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable laws.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration and not through court litigation, except where prohibited by law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service means you agree to the updated version.
